Poker.com is a very new poker room designed for low to medium stakes poker players. They have the absolute best domain name available for the game of poker and I’m sure that it will help their poker traffic to grow exponentially.

Poker.com Review

Software: The graphics and sound of Poker.com’s software are about average (the music in the lobby is terrible, but you can disable it), however it was quite easy to use and navigate through. The software has a few options which include animated smileys (make gestures at your opponents’ actions), winning percentages, rabbit hunts on winning hands, note taking and a few others. Poker.com’s software and network were designed and built completely from scratch. I did find a few bugs with the software which will hopefully be addressed shortly.

Game Selection: Poker.com unfortunately does not offer a wide assortment of games or table limits. The only games that are offered are Texas Hold'em and Omaha. These are available in limit, pot-limit, and no-limit variations. The tournaments offered are also just Texas Hold'em and Omaha.

Table Limits:

  • Fixed Limit: $.02-$.04 up to $30-$60
  • Pot-Limit/No-Limit: $.02-$.04 up to $25-$50

Player Traffic:  Player traffic is a huge weakness of Poker.com. During peak hours there are only about 800 ring players online and about 4000 tournament players. This is far less then its competitors. Only consider this site if you play in the low to mid stakes tables as that is where most of Poker.com’s members play. The freerolls are very popular and get quite good turnouts and have very good prize pools.

Competition: The competition is extremely soft at Poker.com. I would have to say that in most hands played, most players stay in to see the flop. This is typically the case with smaller stakes tables. I found it to be very easy to win at this poker room.

Bonuses and Promotions: There are a few bonuses and promotions which include a $50 refer a friend bonus and a signup bonus, among others. The most impressive promotions are the freerolls. There are $20,000 weekly freerolls, $5000 in daily freerolls, a $500 daily initial depositors freeroll, $100 freerolls every 3 hrs, and two weekly $4,000 freerolls. Satellites for major live tournaments are continuously offered.

Loyalty Program: Poker.com offers a ‘Comp Points’ program, which gives you points when you contribute rake. You receive the bonus in $10 increments after accruing Comp Points. These Comp Points are redeemable for merchandise (very limited) and for tournament play.

Deposit and Withdrawal:  Poker.com offers numerous deposit and withdrawal options including:

  • Deposit: VISA, MasterCard, NETeller, Citadel (US and Canada), InstaCash, Click2Play and wire transfers
  • Withdrawal: NETeller (instant), Citadel, Click2Play

Cashout speed: NETeller withdrawals were instantaneous when withdrawing amounts up to the amount that you initially deposited and between 24-48 hours if you withdraw amounts beyond what you’ve initially deposited.

Support:  Poker.com offers e-mail as well as live chat support. They are 24/7 and respond to e-mails quite quickly. The support staff was quite knowledgeable and handled whatever questions I asked quickly and professionally.
